Mijali Posada Polydorides (b. 1997) is a Mexican-Cypriot furniture and object designer who uses design, making, and performance as mediums of materialization. Through contextual and auto-ethnographic approaches, Mijali employs nostalgic and poetic lenses to materialize memories, experiences, and fascinations that explore themes of identity, rituals, and material culture. He investigates how design can function as a medium for emotional and cultural expression across diverse formats and materialities such as color, object, furniture, installation, craft, and performance, materializing deeply personal narratives and contextual storytelling.​

He holds a Master’s in Contextual Design from Design Academy Eindhoven (Netherlands), a background in Industrial Design from Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico), and complementary studies in Product Design at Politecnico di Milano (Italy). Mijali’s work has been exhibited in international forums such as Milan Design Week, Dutch Design Week, Vienna Design Week, Design Week Mexico, and ZsONAMACO Diseño, among others. His practice has been recognized as one of the 29 Talents Under 30 by coolhuntermx and named a design and architecture promise by Glocal Design Magazine. He was also selected for Sueñas, Aprendes y Logras en el Arte, a Grupo Salinas de Arte y Cultura initiative supporting studios and craftspeople in developing design practices with a business-oriented approach.
